AZTEC provides exceptional care maximizing independent living skills for all ages, in a home environment that empowers each person to live as independently as possible.  Services can be provided by our compassionate employees and/or through parents and family members as caregivers.

Members receive support to enhance
their skill development through:

Attendant Care: Supports members by allowing them to remain in their home and participate in the community, while being assisted with tasks they are unable to complete independently. This includes personal hygiene, shopping, meal planning/preparation, eating, transferring, mobility and more.

Homemaker: Allows members to remain independently in their home while receiving assistance to complete household activities.

Habilitation: Assists members in acquiring, retaining and improving daily living skills to achieve maximum independence. Services include improving social development, self-help, sensorimotor skills, behavioral management and the adaptive skills necessary to reside successfully in home and community-based settings.

Respite: Provides short-term care and supervision to temporarily relieve a family member or other unpaid caregivers.

Employment Program

Our goal is to prepare each member for an independent employment experience in the least restrictive setting possible. Through meaningful education and vocational trainings that align with their passions, skills and interests, we develop a realistic work plan that considers individual strengths and weaknesses.

Participants can enhance competencies and achievements as our team incorporates a structured employment environment that introduces them to the real-world of work in two areas:

Center-Based Employment
These programs provide productive and meaningful paid work in which our members complete light assembly jobs for local businesses, like food packing, collating and shredding. The wide variety of skilled training and employment options through this program encourages well-rounded growth and personal development.

Group & Individual Supported Employment
These programs, in cooperation with local businesses, offer integrated group work sites that include cleaning and materials-recycling crews. Supervised groups of three to five members and a trained Job Coach work together to provide valuable work opportunities that better our communities. Individualized supported employment opportunities are also available.
